Fall Support Letter

Dear BA Reader and Friend,

I hope this fall support letter finds you and yours safe and well. What a year it has been! I can’t recall one as calamitous as this in my lifetime — and we still have three more months to go! As one crisis mounts upon another and this world seems to tear apart, we remain encouraged because Jesus is Lord, and His kingdom is coming.

When the wait gets hard, we turn to Scripture. In this time of conflict and calamity, Jesus’ words bring comfort:

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33, NKJV).

Jesus offered this peace just before He went to the cross. It’s not conditioned on our circumstances. Regardless of what is going on around us, His peace is ours because we are in Him and not in the world. He overcame, and we will too.

Like so many families and churches at this time, the Bible Advocate Press is trying to overcome the financial challenges 2020 has brought. We press on in the peace of Christ, ministering the good news of His coming around the world. But we rely on your generosity to do so.

One simple way you can help us is by using our materials. If your congregation is not already providing you Bible study curriculum, please create a standing order to receive lessons for all ages at affordable prices. With many people working, schooling, and worshipping from home, this new Bible study material is excellent for personal and family devotion and discipleship. Visit our online store at cog7.org to find all of our study resources, including a brand new children’s series called Bible Ideas for Kids. You can order the first two activity booklets for your little ones, about the Sabbath and the birth of Christ, for only $2 each.

Additionally, with our new digital printer, we can now do custom printing, including older quarterlies. Request our titles and special order at bibleadvocate@cog7.org

One of the bright spots for me this year has been connecting with brethren from all over the world for Sabbath school on Zoom. As the author of the 2020 quarterly series, I’m available to join your class. Just email me at jason.overman@cog7.org

Times are tough, but peace be upon you. We will overcome together! If you can give or purchase BAP products, go online at cog7.org. Or mail us at Bible Advocate Press, P.O. Box 33677, Denver, CO 80233.

Thank you! And may the Lord bless and keep you!

Yours for Christ and His kingdom,

Jason Overman
