A Conversion

(Luke 7:36-50)

She kneels at His feet,
feet blistered into toughness
from trekking miles
to aid
the hurting.
Feet washed clean
by her repentant
tears.

She listens to His words,
words that assure her
He accepts her attempts
to say
she is sorry.

She opens her heart,
opens it wide enough to receive
His love,
His affirmation,
His forgiveness.
