The Hill

Rickey Hill was born with a degenerative spine disorder that made doctors doubt he’d ever walk normally. But that was just an obstacle. Signed in 1975 by the Montreal Expos, Hill played four seasons in the minors before his body gave out. His story is the subject of a film aptly titled The Hill, in theaters nationwide August 25.

In The Hill, Colin Ford portrays a fictionalized version of Hill as he fights to make a comeback after an accident leaves him unable to walk without crutches.

The Hill, directed by Jeff Celentano and starring Dennis Quaid, Ford, and Joelle Carter, is financed by produced by Briarcliff Entertainment.
