My Favorite Verse

My Favorite Verse

Most of us have a favorite verse of the Bible. Maybe more than one. For many years now, my favorite Old Testament verse has been Psalm 27:4 and my favorite New Testament verse Galatians 2:20. I can’t tell you which I love more, but these verses capture my faith and hope in the Lord in a profound way.

Well, I’m happy to announce the creation of a new regular column in the Bible Advocate magazine. “My Favorite Verse” is a place where we can share all those special verses and why they have special meaning. It’s a chance to celebrate the Word of God and how it speaks to us, and blesses us, in ways that our own words cannot express.

This is an invitation for you to submit your favorite verse to the BA for possible publication. Keep your reflection to 500 words or less and email it to me in a Word document, double spaced, with your name and email address at the top of the page.

Thanks in advance for sharing with me and the Bible Advocate readers.

Blessings in Christ,

Jason Overman
