The Quiet Hour<\/p>\n
Psalm 46:10<\/p>\n
It is morning when I close the door<\/p>\n
to this private place where I\u2019ve been before,<\/p>\n
seeking courage to face life\u2019s din.<\/p>\n
The sun peeks through into the room<\/p>\n
chasing away night with all its gloom<\/p>\n
warming my soul within.<\/p>\n
I open God\u2019s Word, then silently wait<\/p>\n
until I am assured that He alone is great.<\/p>\n
Full of power and might.<\/p>\n
He controls everything in this world I am in,<\/p>\n
my money, my health, even wayward kin.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s all within His sight.<\/p>\n
I bask in His presence, sense His loving smile,<\/p>\n
feel strength returning to walk another mile,<\/p>\n
whatever this day may bring.<\/p>\n
Confidence and peace flow into my heart,<\/p>\n
reminding me God provides a new start.<\/p>\n
I rise to my feet and sing.<\/p>\n
