Fathom Events, Kingdom Story Company, WTA Media, and Harvest Ministries with Greg Laurie have partnered to release\u00a0Johnny\u00a0Cash: The Redemption of an American Icon<\/em>\u00a0. The documentary will be in theaters\u00a0December 5, 6, and 7 only, and tickets are on sale now\u00a0HERE<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n “I think of all the documentaries made about my dad, he’d be most excited about this one,\u201d said John Carter\u00a0Cash\u00a0of the film.<\/p>\n Kingdom Story Company created the documentary with exclusive access to over 100 tapes that have never been heard before outside of the\u00a0Cash\u00a0family. Originally recorded for\u00a0Cash’s autobiography, the tapes were provided with the blessings and involvement from\u00a0John Carter\u00a0Cash, the only child of\u00a0Cash\u00a0and June Carter\u00a0Cash,\u00a0and his sister, Joanne\u00a0Cash.<\/p>\n Johnny\u00a0Cash: The Redemption of an American Icon<\/em>\u00a0features John Carter\u00a0Cash, Sheryl Crow, Tim McGraw, Marty Stuart, Wynonna Judd, Jimmie Allen, Alice Cooper, Franklin Graham, Joanne\u00a0Cash\u00a0Yates, Greg Laurie, and many others.<\/p>\n Recounting a critical period in\u00a0Cash\u2019s life and career, the documentary takes place during the time of his most famous album Man in Black<\/em> while the legend was stuck in a cycle of depression and drug addiction. The road to redemption for the iconic country star and his return to an \u201cunshakeable faith,\u201d which would influence some of his most famous songs like \u201cThe Man Comes Around,” are at the core focus of the film.<\/p>\n
