A friend I\u2019m trying to lead to Jesus wants Bible proof and thinks if you truly love the per\u00adson, there is nothing wrong with having sex. Help! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Scripture does not support the view of your friend. From Deuteronomy 22:13-21, a young woman could be stoned if her husband found she was not a virgin when they married. This shows God\u2019s attitude toward pre-marital sex.<\/p>\n<p>More important is this New Testament text: \u201cBecause of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband\u201d (1 Cor. 7:2). This clearly implies that sexual relations outside of marriage is immoral.<\/p>\n<p>The word <em>fornication <\/em>is used many times in the New Testament and is commonly understood to mean sexual rela\u00adtions before marriage.<\/p>\n<p>Please don\u2019t fall for the \u201cIf we love each other, it\u2019s OK\u201d line. Most people \u201cfall in love\u201d with several persons before they meet the one who will be their spouse for life.
