Artios Magazine (pronouced AR-tee-oss) is a publication of Artios Christian College, an online-based college that exists to serve Christ and His Body by equipping leaders for a “vibrant 21st century Church“.

Agreeing with the observation that “leadership is influence“, and believing that all Christians have a natural realm of influence, our mission is to partner with you in your natural realm of influence by connecting you with resources that equip you to more effectively invite people to experience the Kingdom of God.

Artios is the Greek word that conveys that someone or thing is “fitted” for a task. It is the root word for the word translated “equipping” in Ephesian 4:12’s vision of “the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.” Our philosophy is that leaders become more effective in influencing the people around them as they are equipped through a three-tiered model of 1) biblical and theological foundations, 2) personal restoration, and 3) training in practical ministry and leadership skills.[ref]These are laid out by Greg Ogden in Unfinished Business: Returning the Ministry to the People of God .[/ref]
