Un Legado Cristiano

Si te enseño el amor de la naturaleza —
a respetar todos los seres vivos
siendo amable con los animales
extraños y amigos

Pero . . . si no te enseñé acerca de Dios
te he enseñado simplemente compasión
y no esperanza.

Si te muestro la belleza del océano —
para notar su inmensidad
explorando su majestad
y misterio

Pero . . . si no te presento a su Creador —
solo te he mostrado el hoy
no la eternidad.

Si te doy un amplio espacio
para que hagas tu propio camino
permitiéndote ser
quien eres —

Pero . . . si no te explico el camino frente a ti,
solamente te he dado vida
pero no destino.
