by Marcia Sanders Sunshine . . . blue skies. David smiled. Could a day get any better? Lost in thought about the upcoming camping trip with his friends from church and all the fun they would have, he didn’t notice the worried expression on his mother’s face as she called to him. “What?” David answered. […]

by Marcia Sanders “No, Skip. Over here. Walk beside me,” David pleaded. “I’ve told you that a hundred times!” “What’s up?” Dad asked, walking outside. “I’m trying to teach Skip to walk beside me. I’ve explained it to him, but he just doesn’t listen.” “Have you tried using a treat to reward him when he […]

by Marcia Sanders “Wow! Jesus healed so many people when He was here on earth,” David said. “Blind, deaf, mute, paralyzed, lame, demon possessed. He was one busy guy.” Jason smiled. “But do you know which story is my favorite?” David thought for a moment. “Was it the lame man who had been trying to […]

by Marcia Sanders “Hey, Mom!” David called. “Do you know what I just realized?” “I have no idea.” Mom smiled. “There’s this huge hole in what I know about Jesus. I mean, I’ve read the story of His birth —which is pretty amazing, by the way. And then I read about Him being baptized and […]

by Marcia Sanders “‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God,’” David read to Skippy, who was always ready to listen to David. “Hmm . . . interesting,” he mused. “And the next verse says, ‘He was in the beginning with God.’ That’s John 1:1, 2. And it gets […]

David watched, dumbfounded, as his friend Jason was accused by another student, Bryce, of cheating on a test. He stood there as Bryce […]

by Marcia Sanders David raced home and began to clean his room. An hour later, it looked like a different place. All books, games, and toys were in their places. Dirty clothes were now in the laundry basket, and clean clothes were laying neatly folded in their drawers. The bed was made, and the desk […]

by Marcia Sanders “Hey, David! You need to put the sports equipment away!” Peter yelled. “Oh, and don’t forget to clean each piece before you store it.” “That Peter is so bossy!” David muttered. “How come he can’t take a turn at cleaning stuff for a change? He treats me like I’m his servant or […]

by Marcia Sanders So, what are you doing this weekend?” Jason asked David as they headed down the sidewalk toward home. “I’m supposed to go to . . . oomph!” David gasped as a boy his size raced by, bumping David’s shoulder and causing him to fall to the ground. “What was that all about?” Jason asked. […]
